Arrow brushes for Illustrator - stunning arrow vector brush stokes
Any size of brush - arrow brushes for Illustrator tutorial
The arrow brushes are all vector designs so they can be used to any size - 10 x 10 or 10000 x 10000 etc - resolution-free. The brushes can be re-colored if you wish by editing the source brush design such as above.
Tinting arrow Illustrator brushes tutorial
The brushes can also be tinted (to use the current stroke color for the brush stroke) by setting the colorization method via the Illustrator brush palette.
Applyin arrows to brush strokes, paths etc in Illustrator tutorial
The arrow brushes can be applied to a brush stroke or just used as a normal path or applied to text or a square or circle etc path. To do this, select the design (be it a path etc) and then select the brush stroke from the brushes palette. If you wish to apply a brush stroke without initially selecting any paths etc then select the brush tool and then a brush design and then apply the stroke to the artboard. There are a number of settings for the brush stroke such as keeping the brush stroke selected after finishing the design (sometimes useful, sometimes not)
Modify arrow brushes tutorial
The arrow brush can also be modified by dragging the brush stroke to the artboard and then adding or removing parts of the path / brush design - then just drag the path / brush back into the brush palette and set as required to scatter or artistic (or pattern)
Layers and Illustrator brushes tutorial
Use the strokes on layers and release brush strokes to layers for animation. If you wish to use the designs to create comic books then (you might prefer an application such as Manga Studio?) you might like to use layers. Using layers you can apply brush strokes to a sketch as well as finish layers, setting the sketch layers to invisible for final printing. You might like to apply a panel per layer etc or perhaps even a particular character or background to one layer etc and so on. Really depends on how you like to build up a page or illustration but brushes and layers are great in combination. There is also a useful select object menu command to select all objects (or brush strokes) on the current layer - though I must admit, I wish there were more layer / selection features available in Illustrator.
