Lattice Connect Plug-in for Illustrator (Pack 24) - Grid, Abstract Designs etc
Works with: Windows 7 + Vista + XP + MAC OS X (All versions)(Intel/PPC) G4 G5 Adobe Illustrator CS5 CS4 CS3 CS2 CS 10 (All Creative Suites)
Lattice grids and more in Adobe Illustrator
The lattice designs are constructed with lines with an object at each node (though this is not always the case as the node appearance can be randomized). The lattice nodes can be a variety of designs. The lattice itself can be of a basic structure or more complex structure or randomized structure.
The lattice plugin can create millions of abstract designs. The designs can be combined, used as symbols, re-colored, effects applied and much more. Use the lattice design as a source for brushes, as frames, as a pattern design and more (the plugin includes various pattern features) and much more.
The examples below only show a very limited range of the millions of possible designs that can be created with the plugin. The lattice plugin creates basic as well as unusual 2D lattice designs.
Tutorial imagesExample below shows the connection tool + generation of square / random sized designs at each node point. The plug-in can be changed to create these as colorful squares and other shapes, you can also select an existing design and then the shape will be generated at each node point.
The example below is the same shape as above but instead of a grouping, the design has been combined using the pathfinder functionality and then duplicated giving the design a drop shadow
The same shape is again used but this time the path is offset by 10 px and then the pathfinder function intersects the original design and the offset
Additional example based on the above design but this time as an overlay
