Note: the demos only for CS3 and before, the release versions work in CS4 and CS5 as well
Examples below show a variety of generated plug-in effects created using the rain tool. The rain plug-in can be used to create designs using the inbuilt shapes and connections but the plug-in can also be used to create unique designs using a selected shape such as a symbol or symbol text and more
Example below shows a hatch plug-in effect created by the rain plug-in
Example shows the hatch plug-in effect then converted into a frame using pathfinder functionality
Example below shows a confetti feature of the plug-in to generate 100s of small fragments scattered throughout the document. The confetti was generated as random colors but here they have been slightly modified to a single color scheme using the color features of Illustrator
Example below shows the line effects in the plug-in with end nodes of circles. All the lines are slight color variants of red
Like the lattice plug-in, multiple shapes can be used as the end nodes or connection points. Above it is a circle but selecting a path or symbol or text you can use that as the end point (in the example below it is a star)
Example below shows a background design of random sized circles as node points in the rain
The paths are all normal paths so effects can be applied such as 3D bevel as example below
Example below shows the orbit feature of the plug-in, all the nodes comes from a center position. Many 100s of different orbit effects can be achieved from basic to truly abstract art work designs
The path above can then be combined and a path offset applied to create shadow and 3D like effects
The example below shows the curvature feature applied to the rain lines, creating unusual abstract designs. Multiple designs can be combined, overlayed and more to create truly wonderful designs. The plug-in comes with many hi-impact pattern features as well to create unusual tiles and pattern designs.
