Image 1) Original image - this time of the Toronto skyline. Image 2) MinMaxCross blur applied. Image 3) Another blur effect applied. Image 4) Another blur effect applied but this time using a different output mode / filter (the plug-ins all come with 100 different output options such as tile, frame, redden, invert, edge effects etc)

Image 5) Shift zag plug-in applied. Image 6) Shift zag blur effect but using a different blending output option. Image 7) Shift zag applied once and then again using a different blending mode. All the plug-ins can be combined using scripting into a single Photoshop action. Image 8) Shows the blur effect within the gradient blend combo plug-in (this applies a variety of colorful blends based on the current foreground and background color - found in the Photoshop toolbox)

Image 9) shows the basic gradient blend plug-in using the current foreground and background colors blending with the image (FG - Pink, BG - Yellow) Image 10) shows the gradient blend color plug-in but in effect mode ''shift', applying the effect as a pixel shift creating 1000s of different subtle and extreme distorted images. Image 11) Basic pyramid effect plug-in creates a pyramid background over any image. Image 12) Pyramid plug-in but with the centre of the plug-in effect shifted.

Image 13) The pyramid plug-in comes with many different pyramid apply modes: the pyramid generated here is a slanted double top. Image 14) The pyramid plug-in is applied but the effect is now as a distortion, creating a cutting edge effect. Image 15) Grainy plug-in applies a variety of noise effects to any image, combining a blurry effect. Image 16) Yet another grainy effect but using a different blend / output option

Image 17) Colorize basic effect. Image 18) Colorize plug-in effect combined with a different blending output option. Image 19) Colorize plug-in using a blending option that limits the colors to the current foreground and background colors (found in the Photoshop toolbox) Image 20) Intensity / brightness plug-in comes with a selection of sliders to control channel intensity

Tutorial 1]
Gradient pyramid tile and red factor
1) Default pyramid plug-in setting, a central pyramid design
2) Set the horizontal center to 230, moves the pyramid to the left
3) Set the blending mode / output option to tile2. This generates a pattern tile from one of the four corners of the pyramid image. The tile option can be used with any setting and effects mode, useful for creating 1000s of different pattern designs. The pattern can then be imported into the Photoshop pattern library via the define pattern command
4) Set the red factor to 200, the pyramid is now twice as red. The other color channels are unchanged.
5) End result
