Plug-ins included in set
Tutorials
Tutorial 1]Rotator example
1) Original image
2) Select the rotator plug-in, this plug-in comes with plug-in set 2. Use the default settings
3) Set the blur settings to different values for the red, green and blur channels; this leaves different color rotated images for each channel.
4) Change the rotator key dropdown to 'groovy' setting; instead of a basic rotation, the result is a wavy / 60s groove rotation. The blur channel settings and the variant groovy setting creates an unusual color wave effect on the old Vancouver 1920s train.
The plug-in rotator can be used to just apply a rotation effect. Setting a different output mode such as invert will result in the color of the end result being inverted; many other settings are also available such as color wrap and purple and tile and mirror.
The plug-in's rotation effect can also be used as a source 'effect' for unique blurs or smears or paint designs via the effects dropdown.
The rotator plug-in is easy to install, simply add the 8BF file to the plug-ins path of the host application. Access the effect via the filters menu
Tutorial 2]Colorop example
1) Default settings, basic black and white check design
2) Reduce the dots setting, the colorop effect is still black and white but there are less black n white 'dots' in the preview display
3) Change the red factor 4, green factor 7, blue factor 2. The dots are modified on a channel by channel basis
4) The dialog is split into basic and advanced settings, go to the advanced settings and change the 'direction' (or apply mode) for the channels for the red and green channel to 'glass'. Blue channel is untouched.
The color op plug-in can be applied to an empty document or an image. By changing the output mode, the colorop effect can be used as a frame or overlay or tiling effect and more. Instead of using the output mode feature, use the fade mode to reduce the application of the effect by 50% or use a different blending mode.
The color op plug-in can also be applied to a layer, either empty or filled layer. Set the layer transparency dropdown from 'ignore' to something like 'inverse green' (there are many options) and the effect will modify the alpha channel of the layer. The color op layer can now have a drop shadow or bevel or glow added via layer effects.
