Manual / documentation of the plug-ins |
Original image before any plug-in effects (poser model)

Lightburst plug-in example (below), smearing the image and enhancing the lighter parts of the image. The plug-in is packed with many options to smear based on the red channel, green channel as well as random / noise influenced smearing to create more paint like effects

Basic Grain plug-in effect (above) applied generates a colorful grain across the image. All the plug-ins in the set have 99 output modes, this one reduces the image to a grayscale lighter version of the basic grain effect.
The plug-ins can be used on their own or combined. Below, the smudge plug-in Dark City has been used twice to smudge and darken the image; the light burst plug-in has been applied to enhance the light parts (leaving the darker smudged parts untouched). The plug-in again used one of the 99 blending / output modes to create a cutout effect

The dark days plug-in (above) generates blurry color lines (or rectangles) based on the underlying image. Use the plug-in to create abstract designs in seconds. The plug-in can also be used to create intense rapid vertical or horizontal line effects based on the image. The rectangles can also be smear as they overlay the image
Below, you can see the vertical line designs of the dark days plug-in instead of the chunkier square region designs.

The cut through plug-in is useful (above) for creating really dark and gothic imagery. The plug-in applies smear lines of noise, the image cuts through and combines with the smear. The plug-in, like all the plug-ins in the set, can post re-color the image with additional red, green and blue (above, the red channel has been set to a higher value) creating a vampire blood look.
Patch plug-in (below) creates by default a black and white image based on the threshold / cut off value (black for values less than the cutoff and white for above). By changing the black and white settings, lighter or darker speckled images can be created with more or less of the original color appearing.

Patch plug-in (above) but using a different black / white and cutoff value. The effect is also combined (as all can be) with the lens blur effect native to Photoshop.
Smear plug-in (below) applies a color grain and smears the image and the grain together in a diagonal direction. As with all plug-ins, the color channels can be further modified via the factor sliders.

Lineup plug-in (above) smears the image (up and down) and turns the image into a dark film noir influenced picture. The contrast of the effect can be modified as well as how much or how little of the original image appears in the end result.

Above, the dialog for one of the plug-ins. The plug-ins are more or less the same format. Additional color (factor or as an addition) can be applied to the image. The plug-in can be set to a different effect mode (middle dropdowns) such as applying the effect as a blur or smear or sepia. The layer transparency dropdown can only be used on a layer and modifies the alpha channel of the layer (a number of different and unusual options). These can then be used in layer effects etc. Beneath the effects / layer dropdowns the blend dropdown offers a number of output options such as saturation, inverse, color wrap, edge effects, tiling and pattern options, mirror settings and more (99 in total). Beside the blend, the color sliders to make the image more blue or less blue etc. Beneath those, the buttons such as open a preset (settings) or save the settings. A number of other buttons along the bottom row randomize the color or tweak a few settings or in the case of the extreme button, randomly set most of the settings (great for animated effect)
