The gradient and patterns plugins include many 1000s of combinations of possible gradient and patterns effects
Gradients GradientCombo7 plug-in
Powerful gradient plug-in with 1000s of different gradients. Plug-in includes a number of different gradient apply methods as well as gradient combination types and center options. The plug-in also includes spatial and color factors, noise setting, center settings and gradient mix settings. The plug-in generates the gradient based on the current foreground and background color setting in the Photoshop (and others) toolbox, varying the colors can radically change the end gradient result. The gradients can be combined via the fade functionality in Photoshop or use the gradient plug-in across layers to blend the gradients in many different ways, as well as combining with the standard effects in Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. The gradients generated are near impossible to describe, the plug-in can literally create millions of different colorful designs including fragmented gradients, radial gradients, artifact gradients, linear gradients, ribbon gradients, warped gradients, abstract gradients, columnar gradients, jarring gradients, ring gradients and more. As with all the plug-ins in the Andrew's plug-ins, the end result can be inverted, color wrapped around the color extremes or tiled or mirrored and many other different output modes (there are 88 included with the plug-in). The generated gradient can be used as a source for an effect such as a blur or smear or sepia or tone or other effects modes via the effects dropdown. Using the effects dropdown, many unique blurring and smearing effects can be created such as patchy or radial or warped blurring. Please note: references to the gradients and patterns do not refer to the patterns and gradients included with Photoshop. The plug-in generates its own patterns and gradients. The pattern designs, can be, if so wished, defined as patterns via the tiling output modes.

Patterns PatternMagic plug-in
The patterns plug-in is similar to the pattern plug-in but instead of a smooth transition of color, the pattern plug-in generates discrete pixel designs such as squares, warped designs, circular designs and more. The plug-in comes with a number of pattern types and variant settings to create many unique pattern designs. The pattern's color uses the current foreground and background color from the toolbox. The generated designs can also be output inverted, color wrapped, tiled, mirrored, dark edge effect applied and more via the output dropdown. The pattern's color can also be re-colored using the color sliders or if you wish to experiment with 100s of color combinations, simply click the color button (the plug-in comes with many different randomization features such as randomizing the output/blend settings, pattern combinations as well as extreme randomization of the settings). The pattern can also be used as a source for an effect such as blurs and smears
Utility VerticalStretch plug-in
Stretching plug-in. The plug-in stretches the vertical pixels off the image or crunches the pixels into the top edge of the image. The plug-in includes a basic control to stretch the vertical (rotate the image by 90 degrees to stretch the horizontal) along with fine tuning controls to match the edge to the required position. The empty space (if reduced in size) is set to the background color set by the plug-in (by default, black). The plug-in comes with a number of stretching apply methods such as basic, radial, triangular, random (for very interesting noise smeared stretched images) and others.
Blending modes / options
The plugins all include 100 output settings such as invert the image, apply only to the red channel, wrap the color, limit the colors to the current foreground and background color range, set to difference, darken only, different darken effects, tiling, frames, zapped color effect and more. Blending modes are like additional filters added to the plugin effect, adding millions and millions of new creative effects to any plugin
Post processing settings
All the plugins include 18 post processing settings such as applying a randomized gradient or gradient blend to the end result of the filter effect. The randomized gradient effects and blends can add subtle color changes to any image or text or layer. The gradient color effect combinations can range to millions and millions of unique color effects and overlays such as radial or diamond or quadrant gradient effects. Alone, the post processing effects are a truly powerful addition to any plugin effects collection.
Photoshop actions
The plug-in effects can be saved as an action so you can use the actions in batch processing / scripting etc. Combine many of the effects, combine the Andrew's Plugins with native Photoshop effects and save as an action. Re-use the action in future image processing

Tutorial 1 ] Displacement effect mode in patterns magic
1) Original Canadian image
2) Pattern magic plug-in, set the type and variant to Square. The pattern color is based on the current foreground and background colors (set in the toolbox)
3) Set the effects mode drop down to 'shift subtle' and set the mode slider to 420. The effects mode takes the underlying effect (square pattern) and translates this into a displacement (in the case of shift subtle option) The blend output options are applied later as are the color settings, so the image could be turned into a frame design or inverted etc. The mode slider increases or decreases the effect mode's strength
4) End result, pixels have all been displaced based on the underlying square pattern
