The plug-ins collection includes many millions of effects. Each plug-in (created by graphicxtras.com) is a owerhouse of effects on its own, this set contains 180 stunning plug-ins and therefore literally millions and millions of stunning color effects, gradient effects, line effects, blur effects and more
The plug-ins can be used as is but you can also set the plug-ins (any of the 180) into applying the generated effects as a blurring or smearing or sepia or distortion or tone effect, the strength of the application can also be modified. The plug-ins are a source of truly unique visual effects and creativity
The plug-ins can generate their basic effect but by changing the output mode to 'tile' 'color wrap' 'dark edge' etc, you can further modify the end result of the plug-ins. 180 filter, 100 output modes, each could easily be a plug-in in its own right, you are talking 1000s of stunning effects, without even tweaking a slider or adding a dropdown / combo setting.
The plug-in series 'Andrew's Filters' was created ages ago by me (back in Nijmegan, Holland) and they have been a very popular 1000+ filters series on the web, on various sites such as Steve's Desktop Photography. The collection here is 'not' the Andrew's Filters. The Andrew's Plug-ins are totally different, the plug-ins were created only recently and the plug-ins have many additional features never possible in the earlier series. The plug-ins include presets / save / powerful preview / dropdowns / randomization features and more, each plug-in is probably more than the original set of 1000 filters (well, perhaps!)
The plug-ins in the collection can be used on a new layer, adding its own layer transparency settings (many different options are available) to create unique transparency. Layer Effects can then be applied adding a drop shadow or bevel to the effect.
Totally different, the vector collection is for Illustrator only; this set of plug-ins is for pixels / photography and more
There is no upgrade path with this set. It is a bundle collection snapshot of the current set of plug-in volumes (currently up to 20). There is no upgrade to the collection with a future volume 21, 22 etc. However, there are free updates available for all the plug-in sets purchased (volume 1 - 20)
The demos are now full versions but only include a single sampler from the set.
The current settings of a plug-in can be saved for future use, simply click the SAVE button and save all the settings to a defined named file. The plug-in sets also come with presets and these can be accessed via the OPEN command
The plug-ins are for use in 32bit mode, they are not for use in 64bit. The plug-ins can be used in many different color modes such as RGB (default color mode) as well as grayscale and LAB and CMYK color mode. The plug-ins can also be used on individual color channels such as the Red / Green / Blue channels or the Cyan / Magenta / Yellow etc channels
Use the plug-ins in combination with selections. Simply select the area you want to work with and then apply the plug-in
The plug-ins now all include the feature to be used as an action (in Photoshop). Simply click the record command and then use the plug-in; all the settings will be saved; use other plug-ins; and save the action as normal. The action can then be used as a standard Photoshop action.
The plug-ins now also include a large selection of post processing options such as applying a colorful gradient (radial, linear, quadrant, diamond etc) or a random gradient or a random blending of a gradient and image as well as different threshold and color settings. This adds millions of amazing color digital photography overlays to any image (or text or layer etc). To randomize the gradient overlay, click or repeat click the post-processing button
The plug-ins are all packed with a hue selection of randomization features. To explore the vast range of effects included in each plugin, click the TUMBLE button and all the settings are randomized. Repeat click the button until you find your own special unique effect or design. Some of the plug-ins include TWEAK buttons and these apply only minor randomization to a narrower range of settings, keeping most of the settings the same. The COLOR button randomizes the color overlay settings adding a mere 16 million possible color effects to the plug-in
The plug-ins are standard 8BF files. They are only for PC, they will not work with OS X. The plug-ins are installed in the plug-in folder of the host application. The plug-ins are not filter factory plug-ins so cannot be installed using the filter commander etc or any similar tool. To install in Photoshop, add them to the appdata folder of Adobe Photoshop (on Vista) plug-in or add them to the plug-ins folder beneath Adobe Photoshop in the program files section. For Paint Shop Pro, install them to the location indicated in the file > preferences section; enable the use of third party plug-ins if it is set to OFF.
