Tutorial 1: Diamond brushes pattern. Open a document (sized 600 x 600), select one of the diamond brushes from the Photoshop brush palette. Apply brush dab or multiple dabs to the document. Use the offset command (-300 300) setting and then re-apply brush dabs to different regions, re-apply offset command as required. Go to the edit menu define pattern command and save the current brush dabs as a pattern. Apply the diamond brush pattern in the fill command or fill layer or patterns overlay
Tutorial 2: Diamond glass brushes. Open a document, select a diamond brush from the Photoshop brushes palette. Create a new layer via the layer menu and set the brush color to black. Apply a style to the newly created layer (such as the blue gel command). Now apply the diamond brush to the new layer. The diamond designs will take the appearance of the blue gel. Modify the scaling of the layer effect to create different glass like effects to the diamond.
Tutorial 3: Diamond brushes in Paint Shop Pro. Use the PNG versions. Open the PNG diamond brush file in PSP and then goto the brush tool options and select the brush browser dialog. You will see icons on the right side of the brush palette, select the create brush tip option. Give the diamond brush a new name and save the brush design to the Paint Shop Pro format. To add color etc change the properties of the brush via the materials palette
Tutorial 4: Diamond brushes as quick frame in Photoshop. Click the edit in quick mask mode (bottom of the Photoshop toolbox). Set brush to black. Select a diamond brush (the end result depends on which diamond brush is picked from the Photoshop brushes palette). Apply diamond brush dabs to the center of the document or the area you want to highlight or frame. Go back to standard mode (via the toolbox again) and you will have a diamond brush selection. Invert the selection via the select menu and then fill with black or perhaps apply various effects to blur out the inverted diamond region. |
