ABR, PNG and EPS files for Christmas

Many different sets of Christmas brushes are available. Many different Christmas designs are included in each set. The brushes all come with the brush strokes in ABR format as well as PNG but many of the sets also include the Christmas designs in vector format (eps) as well for use in much bigger designs.

Installing the Christmas brushes in Photoshop etc

The Christmas brushes are loaded into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements via the preset manager or via the brushes palette load / replace command.

 

The PNG files can be loaded into PSP (install via the PSP brushes palette) but the Christmas PNG brush files can also be used as a layer in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements or as a source for Photoshop patterns and displacements.

Re-color and modifying the Christmas brushes in Photoshop and Elements

The Christmas brushes can all be modified, warped, distorted, re-colored etc. To re-color the Christmas brushes you just have to change the foreground color via the Photoshop toolbox.

 

The Christmas brushes can also be used with the 'non-paint' brush tools such as the clone, blur etc brushes.

 

The Xmas brushes can also be modified in many different ways via the brushes palette adding different scaling, hue dynamics, opacity, scattering, dual brushes, brush textures and more.

Use the Christmas brushes as Christmas patterns

The PNG files can be loaded into Photoshop and via the edit menu and define pattern command the Christmas designs can also be used as a brush texture to the Christmas brushes themselves.

The Christmas brushes can be used in countless projects such as fashion designs, T-shirts, cards, templates, web site designs, books, magazines, CD covers, leaflets, parts of logos and much more.

Use as a source for new Xmas brushes - Xmas forever

The Christmas brushes can also be used as a source for new Christmas brushes. Apply the brush dabs and then use the edit menu followed by define brush command to save the created Christmas brush design.

 

You can apply effects, grunge, distress etc the Christmas brushes or just keep them as clean basic designs. It is all up to you.

All the Christmas brushes sets come with basic documentation showing how to install the brushes as well as basic use of the brushes.

 

The Christmas brushes sets also include a thumbnail gallery of all the Xmas designs as well as a serial number which can be used to access updates of the set

Christmas EPS vector brushes

Not all the sets include the eps vector format files but many do and if so, you can use the eps files to create brushes of any size

1) file menu followed by open command

2) Set the rasterize settings such as 1000 x 1000 or 2000 x 2000 for the brush document

 

The eps file may be colored so on saving the Xmas design to the brushes palette, the color will be turned into a grayscale so you might prefer to use the image menu followed by adjustments sub menu and then black and white command as it probably gives the best control over the end grayscale brush stroke.

You might prefer to set the brush via the brushes palette where you can also add scattering, texture, spacing etc to the brush as well.

 

You can, of course, change the brush in countless ways before you save the Christmas brush design - such as blur or apply artistic effects to the design.

 

Another option, and perhaps more useful, is to use the file menu followed by place command as that loads the brush EPS file as a design in an existing document but it is also a smart object which can be modified at any point as well as combined with smart filters and layer effects before finally being used as a brush (a very smart brush).

 

You can also just set all this as an action and the brushes can be opened and modified and defined as a new brush by an action (file menu and batch command) - all 100+ brushes can be then changed in seconds to a 'embossed' Xmas brushes or 'accented edges' etc (depending on the smart filters chosen)

 

The Christmas eps files also can be used in many other software such as Illustrator and Indesign.
