To purchase the fonts sets on the graphicxtras.com site
Fonts
The fonts on graphicxtras are the same as any font you have on your machine: Verdana, Times New Roman, etc. Our fonts are decorative / designs and can be used with many different applications such as Word, Apple Pages, Keynote, etc. The designs are all vectors so can be used to any size
Installation of fonts on PC
On the PC, please use the control panel and the fonts to add / install new true type fonts. Point the install new font option to the true type font(s) select, and add the fonts to the Window's fonts menu. The fonts will then be usable in many different applications.
If you are on Vista, you can also right click the true type TTF font and then the install option will appear.

Installation of fonts on OS X
On the mac, please consult with the system documentation. I would suggest using the Font Book application found in the applications folder.
1) Go to finder
2) Open new finder window or double click the HD
3) Go to the applications folder
4) Go to the FONT BOOK application
5) Start
6) File > Add Fonts ...
7) Open to the folder containing the fonts and select
8) Click Open
9) Font is then added to the user collection
10) Access the font design via the normal font drop down of any application
11) To access some of the designs (other than those via the keyboard) follow the additional steps
12) Click the keyboard icon on the far right of the finder menu
13) Dropdown menu
14) Show character palette
15) Consult documentation further how to access the designs (please note, most are just available via A B C etc of the keyboard
EPS designs
All the sets include similar EPS (postscript)
Accessing EPS files
Use the file > open command to open the EPS or AI designs. Or use place or import depending on the application.

Cross platform
The fonts / typefaces + EPS files can be used on a PC as well as in OS X, they are standard true type TTF fonts / EPS designs. AI is the standard Illustrator format files and can be used in many different applications. You can also always quickly convert the designs from EPS or AI to a PSP preset shape or PNG or JPG or PSD format (use the image processor in Photoshop to do this to many EPS files) OR perhaps obtain a viewer / convertor tool, there are many available free on the web via google etc
Access
Access the characters via the keyboard, simply press A B C etc, most of the characters are available via the keyboard either upper or lower case; use the charmap or fontbook etc utility to access the others or use the various number combos to activate them
1) Start application
2) Select the type / text tool (as you would type A B C etc in the document or application as normal)
3) Go to the font / type dropdown and select the size and the font (GX Arches etc) as you would Verdana or Times New Roman
4) Type A or B etc (the font sets come with a gallery showing the relation between the design and character)
Custom shapes
The true type TTF font characters can be converted into custom shapes in Photoshop®, also you can apply layer styles to them, rasterize the text etc and apply effects and designs. Overlap characters, overlay characters and much more
Convert text to outline
Each application uses text as a design element in a different way, you may wish to convert text to outline or turn the font character (or characters) into a shape. Please note that some applications have this feature (such as Illustrator) and others do not. This may or may not be an issue when you come to print documents etc (some applications embed the font designs and some don't) It is always recommend that you check this before printing documents etc
Characters
The characters can be used either as a single character or combine characters.
3D applications
Use the text in 3D applications such as Typestry or Carrara or various plugins such as Hot Text or 3D words or also in various 3D text applications.
Fonts in Photoshop and Photoshop® Elements
Fonts can be used as a source for 1000s of designs in Photoshop. The fonts / designs can be accessed via the type tool. The font designs can also be converted into a custom shape and saved to the custom shapes palette for future use. The font design can be modified as well using the standard warp / transform tools or points tools. The font design can also be saved as a Photoshop brush or Photoshop pattern etc
