Photoshop ® / PSP : 3D Brushes3D Brushes / Cubes / Sphere Strokes to buy and use in Adobe Photoshop, Elements, PaintShop Pro and others - unique brush setsCan I use the sphere brushes in most of the paint tools in Photoshop ? Yes. the 3D brushes supplied can be used in most of the brushes tools in Photoshop and PS Elements such as the dodge / blur / smear / paint / art history and more. Some of the brush tools have their own brush palette settings.
Some of the brush tools are hidden beneath another brush tool in the Photoshop and Photoshop Elements toolbox.
The brushes often have additional settings and they can all be set via the brushes palette such as scattering, texture etc - so you can use the brushes to create truly stunning 3D brush strokes. You can set the spacing to generate bubbles / spheres evenly spaced and joined.
Some of the brush tools do not allow for the use of 3rd party brushes like those on graphicxtras.com and they have their own settings such as the calligraphic.
3D brushes and Photoshop Brush palette All the Photoshop brushes (3D spheres or otherwise) can be further tweaked and extended via the brush palette that comes with Photoshop 7 upwards.
The brush palette allows the 3D (cube, sphere, shiny etc) brushes to be scattered, opacity applied, texture applied, color changed and much more. The brushes menu is accessed via the window menu
1) Select brush tool (any of the main brush tools such as clone) 2) Go to the window menu 3) Brushes 4) Click on shape dynamics / scattering etc (checkbox will then be set to ON) 5) Change settings 6) Key settings are via the brush tip shape dialog settings such as spacing (set to 0 to create a smooth brush stroke)
You can also save the brush preset. This saves the brush design along with all the various settings such as the scattering and texture for the brush and allow for even more complex brushes than those included in the 3D / sphere brushes sets. The presets are saved in the current version of Photoshop
If you are using other software then those software also come with a vast range of different settings such as scattering.
If you are using the 3D / sphere brushes with an application like Postwork Shop Pro then you can create even more amazing designs as that application is particularly geared to art creation using brush strokes and different brush techniques.
