Tutorial: Modifying custom shape path in Photoshop1) Select the custom shape tool and then set the shape option to 'shape layers' (top of the screen for Photoshop)
2) Layers menu - showing the design as a layer
3) Select the ellipse tool
4) Select the 'add to shape area command'
5) Draw ellipse shape over the existing radial custom shape design
6) On completion of the addition of the ellipse to the existing circular shape. The shape design is still a custom shape and can be used as such with layer effects etc
7) To save the design, go to the edit menu and use the 'define custom shape' command. The shape will now be stored to the current Photoshop custom shapes menu
8) The shapes palette, you will now see the design stored there. You can now re-apply this design over and over as required

Installing custom shapes tutorialCSH shapes are fairly easy to install though there are a number of ways to install them (such as via the file > open command or via the preset manager) - here is a quick video showing you the installation of the CSH files. CSH is the native format for Photoshop custom shapes. |
