Typing text within a shape in Photoshop tutorial Type / text can be added to the shape design curve but it can also be constrained by the custom shape path as well - such as one of the female designs. Typing text within a design can be slightly slower than normal typing and prone to a few typos so it is always best to re-check the text and re-check it again 1) select the shape tool 2) select a female figure (such as one found in the pack 129 set) 3) set to path option via the option bar 4) create path 5) select the horizontal type tool 6) set font color and font and font size 7) click inside the shape 8) type text
Warping text inside a path in Photoshop tutorial The path can be re-sized and rotated etc as normal just by using the transformation tools via the edit menu
You can also modify the text within the figure shape 1) select the text within the shape 2) set the color 3) set the font to a different font 4) Set other type settings such as width etc 5) go to the create warped text button in the top option bar 6) warp the text using arc or wave etc
The text can also have a layer effect applied to it even after being warped - add a drop shadow to the current text via the layer menu and layer style sub menu and drop shadow. The path / selection can also be stroked via the edit menu. Also the selection can be warped by using the puppet warp tool and much more.
Select the text layer via the layer palette and the text can be rasterized (along with the shadow etc if added)
1) layer menu followed by rasterize sub menu and type 2) edit menu followed by transform sub menu and warp select the arc etc or use the mesh to warp the text / figure shape in even more weird and wonderful ways - example below of the female figure and the text / shape warped to create a flowing figure shape
