Photoshop ® / PSP : Rosette BrushesRosette Brushes for Photoshop , Elements, PaintShop Pro and othersPaintShop Pro and brushes tutorial The rosette brushes can be used in PaintShop Pro as well as many other software applications.
The file format for PSP being PNG format (though you can always use PSP or another application to convert PNG files to JPG or others). Open the files in PSP and then use brushes palette to save the design as a custom brush
1) "file menu" and "open command" and select PNG file 2) Select one of the brush tools from the PSP toolbox 3) go to the brush palette 4) right side menu buttons 5) Click top button 'create brush tip from selection' 6) Give the brush a name, save variance etc
Brushes location can be found via the "file menu" and "preferences menu" and "file locations dialog" section 'brushes'
One issue might be the size of the brush selection and different versions will accept different sizes of brushes - you might have to apply an "image menu" and "re-size command" on the selection before PSP will accept the rosette brush design selection.
Once saved to the brushes palette, you can use the design with most of the brush tools. Double click on the design in the palette and use. Set the size, density, step, rotation etc as required.
If you go the folder containing the newly created brush files, you will find two files - pspscript and pspbrush.
Custom shapes and brush strokes Photoshop tutorial Use the rosette brushes to create unique custom shapes designs, apply the dab, select and then define as a work path and define as a custom shape
1) Select a rosette brush 2) Apply brush stroke, single dab or multiple dabs as required (perhaps apply as a brush stroke) 3) Select the brush stroke using the selection tools (magic wand tool perhaps) 4) "window menu" and "paths dialog command" 5) Make work path 6) "edit menu" and "define custom shape command" 7) Shape can now be saved via the custom shapes palette
