Tutorial 1 ) Overlapping patterns
The pattern designs all have transparency in built. 1) New fill layer > pattern (using the patterns library 2 and pattern 20) 2) Layer > duplicate layer Now rasterize the content for each layer via the layer > rasterize fill content command 3) Layer > layer effects > color overlay on both of the layers Change the layer color via the color overlay command to RED for the first and GREEN for second layer (top) 4) Add drop shadow via the layer effects You will need to set the layer scaling and placement of the layer before the rasterization. Other effects such as bevels can be added. Complex pattern designs can be created combining the patterns. Patterns can also be combined using different blending modes as well such as difference or multiply; or the patterns can be combined using different opacity levels. Effects can also be applied to the layers
