Additional notes 1) Brushes install : Place the brushes in the presets custom brushes folder or in the latest versions, Corel_01 folder. Brushes are stored in pspBrush format.
2) Color : Set the color of the spiral brushes for Paint Shop Pro via the materials palette (color or swatches palette). The color of the brush can be a basic color or swatch or gradient or pattern
3) Texture : A brush texture can be added to the brush via the materials palette. Check the texture box and then select a texture for the brush stroke
4) Brushes : Many different brushes are available such as paint brush + air brush + cloner + dodge brush + burn brush + smudge brush and others. All have different options and usefulness.
5) Brush variance : Select a brush and you have two additional palettes. Choose the brush via tool options palette (also rotation, size, steps, density, rotation, blend mode, opacity, wet look etc) as well as brush variance. The brush variance palette offers a number of ways to jitter the position, color, saturation, lightness, size etc as well as apply the brush strokes using wheel, twist, fade, pressure and more
6) Step : Change the step setting to create a continuous flowing brush or gaps between brush strokes
7) Brush palette : Select the spiral brush from the brush palette. The brush palette displays all the brushes found in the brushes locations specified in the file locations for brushes. The brush palette offers a small thumbnail of the brush as well as displaying various details on step, density etc
8) Scripts : Brushes can be used in scripts to great effect
9) Frames : Brushes can be used to create frame designs, basic ones or picture frames for use in Paint Shop Pro ®
10) New spiral brushes : Brushes can be used to create new brush designs. Apply the paint brush or any of the other brushes, apply effects etc. Use the export command to save the new brush. There are limits on the size of brush
11) Blending modes : Brushes can be applied using different blending modes such as darken and difference
12) Layers : Use brushes on different layers and apply different effects etc
13) Tubes : Use brushes as a source for picture tubes, use the export to picture tubes command to create a new tube design
14) Browser : Use the Paint Shop Pro browser to display larger thumbnails of the brushes. Print and sort and export and much more
15) Grayscale : Use the spiral brushes in different color modes
16) Split channels : Use the brushes in different color channels and combine to create colorful designs |
