Installation of Photoshop ® styles
Styles are stored in native ASL format. The styles should be placed in the Photoshop presets styles folder and accessed via the styles palette. For Photoshop, styles files can be located anywhere and accessed via the load / replace, for Photoshop Elements, the styles need to be placed in the presets styles folder. Use the styles as text styles, web styles, basic Photoshop styles and more
Layers
Use the styles with shapes and layers. Use to create many different designs. Combine multiple shape and styles layers as well as combine with Photoshop opacity and blending modes to create stunning designs.
Frames
Use the styles to create awesome frames and edges to images. The layer can be shaped in any way such as a round frame or jagged or distorted frame or distress frame, simply apply the layer effect to the frame layer to create a stunning frame effect.
Web buttons
Use the styles to create web buttons for web pages
Text effects and Photoshop
The styles can be used with text to create awesome text effects. Use layer scaling to tweak settings
Layer scaling
Use to tweak the layer effect without going to the layers dialog. The layer scaling can be very useful as a layer style might have been created using a small design and in a 1000 x 1000 or 300 dpi document; the style might work fine but moved to a much larger docunment, the actual effect might hardly be visible: layer scaling can be a big help here.
Select
Select an area of an image, copy and apply a style to create frames, highlighted areas, masks and more
Modify styles
The styles are starting points. Modify the styles to create 1000s of different styles. Your modifications can be saved as your own styles effects.
Shape Layers (custom shapes)
The shape layers (custom shapes work well combined with the styles. Apply the styles to designs to create a near infinite toolkit of colorful designs for your graphics work.
Brushes and styles
Use the styles in combo with brushes to create styled brush effects / 3D effects via a new layer.
Textures and styles
Use the styles as a texture or pattern. You can always define the layer as a pattern and reuse. Patterns can also be added to the existing style for even more stunning visual effects using styles
Styles Settings: Drop Shadow etc
Styles are stored set of drop shadow / inner glow / pattern overlay / gradient overlay information / stroke information. All the settings in the style can be modified in each individual setting. If you wish you can always remove the drop shadow or bevel from the layer style.
