You can also just drag the spiral font sets to the control panel on the PC. Spiral font shapes in Adobe Fireworks 1) "File menu" and "new command" 2) Select the "text tool" 3) Go to the text menu and font command / list 4) Set the font to the spiral font set 5) text and select size to set the size of the spiral design (something like 400) 6) Type A B C etc (each spiral set comes with a document showing the relationship between the characters and the keyboard) 7) Set the color of the design via the swatches palette in Fireworks or use the fill setting in the Firework's toolbox or via the properties dialog 8) Right click menu convert to paths 9) Subselection tool to modify individual parts of the spiral design such as drag out individual points to create an abstract spiral design

Combine spiral paths and punch command Create additional paths, say such as circle designs and create those over the existing spiral shape - select all the shapes and then use the right click menu and select the combine path option and punch command to punch holes into the spiral font shape.
