Astute plugin 'Mirrorme' for Illustrator CC CS6 CS5
MirrorMe has to be one of the best plugins ever for Illustrator. It is actually quite hard to describe all the functionality of the ostensibly simple to use plugin. To describe it as a symmetry tool or as a Kaleidoscope tool etc, would be unfair as it is those and much more. You can use the plugin with paths as well as strokes and gradients and text and symbols and virtually everything else. You can create millions of projects. It is quite addictive. The plug-in is for PC and MAC and Illustrator CC - CS5. I would have to give it 6 stars out of five. I can only wish it was also available as a plugin for Photoshop as well as After Effects and other parts of the creative cloud. Please check out our videos on Mirrorme as well as images / examples.
This is an amazing product from Astute. The review was written when the product was working for Adobe ® Illustrator CS5 but the recent release has now updated the plugin for use in Adobe AI CC and CS6 (all third party plugins had to be updated because of changes to the interface). The new plug-in set works with the 32bit version as well as the 64 bit version. The plug-in works just as well and combined with the new releases such as widthscribe and colliderscribe from Astute, even more amazing designs and effects can be created using the plugin set. Again, a truly superb plug-in and one you should really check out - there is a demo set available on the Astute website. Find out more about the plugin via the link above.
Yet another first rate product from Astute for the manipulation of paths. The review was written when the plugin set was for CS5 as well as CS4 etc, the product has recently been updated for use with Illustrator CC and CS6. The plugin, like Vectorscribe' works amazingly well in combo with the other plug-ins from Astute as well as the plugins native to Illustrator. The plug-in set is available in a 32 bit and 64 bit version. Would definitely recommend that you check out their demo of Drawscribe or at least check out their large selection of video tutorials on the subject. Find out more about drawscribe via the link above. Astute now have a number of new products out - even more amazing tools for raster and inking.
