  1. Use an existing selection or make a selection using elliptical marquee tool for example

  2. Window menu and paths in Photoshop

  3. Goto the paths panel and right side menu

  4. Make work path

  5. Set required tolerance (the default is fine in most cases but 1 is better but more points)

  6. Click OK

The path can now be used in other parts of Photoshop such as conversion to a vector design etc
